According to the Time magazine, he is the second biggest scamster in the history of the world, led only by, none other than, Richard Nixon (of Watergate fame). He is, very unfortunately, our fellow countryman Andimuthu Raja, infamous as A. Raja (ironically this name translates into English as “A King”). Well, most certainly, he is the king of swindlers in India. He is also known as Spectrum Raja due to the fraud he committed. Recently, a few photographs of the house of A. Raja began circulating on Internet. At the onset, let me tell you that these photos are fake photos! These are not photosopped photographs but the house visible in them is wrongly attributed to A. Raja. It’s not A. Raja’s house.
A. Raja was the Union Cabinet Minister for Communications and Information Technology in the cabinet of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He was removed from the office and lodged into jail because of his involvement in what is now known as the 2G Spectrum Scam. The scam deprived the government exchequer of the possible revenues amounting to at least INR Rs 30,985 crore (USD $ 6,983,322,233).
Not surprisingly, as the scam was unearthed, public outrage against A. Raja began to soar. Now, he is probably one of the most hated person in India (lots of records he holds!).
Recently, a chain email began to circulate on web which claimed to contain the photographs of Raja’s house in Tamil Nadu. The email does indeed contains several photos of an insanely luxurious house. One of these photos is given below:
But hatred in people’s heart for Raja is so much that most of them don’t give it a second thought and accept the email as truthful. However, in reality, this email is a bogus one. Raja does not own any such house. Please don’t be disappointed that the owner of that house is not A. Raja. He swindled enough money to have built several such houses –but let the truth be known –photos in the said chain email do not show A. Raja’s house. Here is a YouTube video that shows all the photos shown in the said email:
So, if not Raja’s then whose house is this?
Well, in reality this house is located in California, USA and belongs to Steve Hermann. Steve is a designer and developer of properties. The house shown in the picture is apparently a prototype known as the Glass Pavilion.
We have every reason to hate A. Raja and he must be brought to justice. But let’s stop circulating the false information. A similar falsely attributed photo of Rani Laxmibai has also been circulating nowadays. I hope you likes this famous photograph. Stay connected for tomorrow’s presentation when I will bring you another photograph that remained etched in the memory of mankind. Please feel free to comment and let me know your valuable feedback.
